BIOGRAPHY

Teodoro Aparicio Barberán. Born in Enguera, a small town in the province of Valencia, Spain, in 1.967. He studied saxofón, double bass, piano, harmony, fugue and composition. He studied at the music school of Xativa, Carcaixent and, finally in the Conservatory superior of Valencia, where he got the highest awards. His teachers were M.Vidal, F. Moral, M. Llopis, G.Castellano, P.Iturralde, M.Mijan, J.Marie Londeix and A.Daniel. For three years he attended in Gerona the conducting courses given by Bruno Membrey and the composition courses by Carl Schahter. However it was the composer Luis Blanes his real mentor in his musical training. As
a composer, he has got highlight works such as; El Amuleto mágico; El Sorior
y la Orden de Uclés; "El bosque quemado",
“Memorias de La Cabaña”,
“Asgard” Symphony nº 1, "Cue Sheets", "The Rise of the Phoenix"etc. Besides,
he has composed another works for various ensembles and chamber music. His
works have been performed in Germany, Belgium, Japan, Spain, Holland,
Portugal,Cuba and Costa Rica…by prestigious soloist and ensembles. |

He has been invited to conduct with the symphonic bands of Monserrat, Primitiva of Lliria, Alicante professional Band, Banda Municipal de Palma de Mallorca, Albacete Symphonic Orchestra, Symphonic Band of "La Habana", Nacional Band of San Jose de Costa Rica,… He has got a diverse discography both as a performer band as a conductor ( Spain, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Swiss,...).
He has been teaching music for more than 15 years in several
Music Schools and Conservatoires. Since 1.994 he has been teacher in
Secundary School . Since 2.004 he is the conductor of the Symphonic Band of Enguera
and the "Primitiva Setabense" of Xàtiva.
